Principal's Message

 

Hi Briarwood Family,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am incredibly excited and honored to serve as the Principal at Briarwood this year. I am excited to have the opportunity to work collaboratively with Briarwood’s great staff, students, and families; furthermore, I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone!

I was born and raised in Kansas and moved to Oklahoma to go to college. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and my Master’s in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I began my educational career in Moore Public Schools working at Bryant Elementary. I have also worked at Timber Creek Elementary, Kingsgate Elementary, and Oakridge Elementary. This will be my 19th year in education.

On a personal note, my husband, Jesse, and I live in Norman with our 16-year-old son, Jackson. Jackson will be a sophomore at Moore High School and is an avid football and baseball player. Most of my evenings and weekends are spent at the ballfields, but I do enjoy reading by the pool, shopping, and relaxing at the beach.

I believe in doing what is best for kids!! The foundation of that starts with a safe and positive learning environment where everyone works together to ensure student success. It is my goal to work diligently with all stakeholders to foster positive relationships in order to maximize opportunities for our students to thrive.

I look forward to a great year and am thrilled to be a Briarwood Bear!!
