Principal's Message
Dear Briarwood Families,
My name is Valerie Singleton, and I am so excited to be a BW Bear once again. I had the privilege of starting my career at this wonderful school. I taught special education classes and grades 2-4 here for 26 years before moving away for the last three years to pursue my career in administration. When I found out that I had been placed at Briarwood again, I was so excited to be coming home! I'm enjoying my 4th year as Principal. At Briarwood, our goal is to provide a safe nurturing environment that fosters a love for learning. Our teachers strive to meet the individual needs of our students to help them reach their fullest potential. Briarwood has always been a school of high expectations and we will continue that endeavor. I look forward to celebrating your child's achievements with you throughout the 2023-2024 school year! I believe that the home and school connection is vital in the success of our students. By working together, we can ensure that your child's social and academic needs are met.
