Good health enhances your student’s ability to learn. School nurses support good health and learning by performing a variety of duties to serve the students and staff of the school district. The Moore School District is currently staffed with seven registered nurses. Our nurses are assigned to 4-5 schools each, spending one day a week at each school.
The daily responsibilities at each school include providing basic first aid, administering medications and treatments, and monitoring immunization compliance with state laws. In addition to these duties, our nurses are continuously involved in health counseling, health assessment, case management, health screenings, health referrals, crisis intervention, wellness screenings, health education and emergency and first aid assessments for students and staff.
Your District School Nurses hope that this Web site will offer you ease in accessing MPS health forms, information regarding various health issues, immunization requirements for all ages, as well as links to health-related sites.
